Mischief

This piece was made over a year ago.  It features my grandson Sullivan.  I love this photo that his mother took.  He was two when this picture was taken; he is now four!
My first scrapbooked canvas piece.  These are all non-Stampin' Up! products (paper is Basic Grey).  I took a class from Sharon Reimer of the Scrapbook Cottage from Steinbach, Manitoba.  She comes to Red Lake once a year, brings her store and offers an array of classes and does an amazing job.  This was one of the classes that I took.  You chose your own papers, colors, embellishments from her stock and went at 'er.  All you needed to bring was a photo and any "personal" pieces you might like to add to your project.  Sharon and her staff were there to assist you in any choice dilemmas you might have.   Everyone's project was unique and it was so much fun seeing the great pieces that everyone produced.

The jean pocket was taken from a old pair of his jeans.  One of the reasons it has taken me so long to post this is because when it was hanging on his wall, the frog went missing!  Apparently, my canvas is titled quite appropriately!  It was the perfect little frog and it took me months to find a replacement (which happened to come from the bait section of Walmart)
The little clip at the bottom is suppose to hold a ticket with the year on it.  I never did get to it and now I've misplaced it.  That's what happens when you procrastinate!  Grrr.

Happy Scrapping!

Embedded/Inlaid Paisley Petals

The 2nd card we did in our daytime CAS class yesterday.  We used the sneak peak Paisley Petals DSP to debut in the 2011/2012 catalogue in July and the vintage flower adornments from the Occasions Mini.  This is a very common design, but lends itself to a very comfy, warm quilt like look.

I used bravo burgundy and pear pizzaz cardstock; vintage wallpaper embossing folder and pear pizzaz seam binding ribbon.  Pretty simple!

Thanks for stopping by!

Greenhouse Gala Boho Blossoms CAS 134

A little bit of a contrast going on  here....winter in the first photo....the hopes of spring in the second.

I used last week's Fall To Layout 134 for my cards.  This is the card we did at our  CAS class.  I did the blue card for my class and used silver brads.  Here is the link to CAS blog...where you can see what others have done with this sketch.

The flowers are made with Vellum Card Stock and the Boho Blossoms three flower punch.  I've made these little flowers this way before, for this card....from way  back.

For my second CAS card, we used the new Paisley Petals DSP that will be out in the July catalogue.  My next post will show that card.

Thanks, Cindy

Canine Thank You

It has been over two weeks since I have last posted.  We just got back from a great trip to southern Ontario (Beamsville) to visit my daughter.  This is the quick thank you card I made for our neighbours who took care of our yellow lab Gage.  At just under two years old, she is still quite a handful!!  So we are very thankful to them for caring for her.  Both stamp sets and the dsp are retired, but this was the perfect image for my card.

So, now it's time to get productive and do more stamping!!   Lots going on in the next couple of weeks.

Stamp Sets:  For Father, Much Appreciated (both retired)
Paper:  DSP Deck the Halls (retired), Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Ink:  Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler
Accessories:  Seam Binding, Buttons, Chalks

Til later,
Cindy
