Soft Sayings Card Kit - Design 6 and 7 - Stampin' Up!

Soft Sayings Card Kit; designs 6 and 7.  Here we have the regular sized card (5.5 X 4.25) and a small square note card (3 X 3)  They have co-ordinating envelopes, not shown.  Having trouble getting great lighting the last couple of days.  They are just delightful in real life! But the simple design, fun elements and ease of assembly are the attraction to this sweet kit.

Just a couple more posts on this set.  You can see the kit on page 10 and 11 of the annual catalogue.  $46.00 gets you an all-inclusive kit.  Stamps, ink, block, and all consumables are included.  It is a great gift idea for any crafter.

Soft Sayings Card Kit - Design 5 - Stampin' Up!

#5 out of the 10 designs included in the Soft Sayings Card Kit.   Just stamp (in this case it was the sentiment and the grey leaves) and then adhere the rest of the elements.  It's that simple!

Each of the cards had a different sentiment on the front except one, which was used twice.  Here you can see all the sentiments at a glance.  You can however, change up the sentiments if you like; just pick one that fits on the sentiment piece.  This stamp set is included in the kit and is not available separately.

You will have fun creating all 20 cards.  Visit my on-line store...

Soft Sayings Card Kit - Design 4 - Stampin' Up!

The Soft Saying Card Kit (an all inclusive kit) has three sizes of cards in its designs.  This is the medium card and has a 5" X 3.5" card base.

If you don't have a lot of supplies or just want some quick and easy cards to make, then this is a great kit.  It is $46.00 and includes everything you need to make 20 cards!  It can be found on page 10 and 11 of the annual catalogue.

Another great addition to this kit is the Soft Sayings Card Kit Refill.
"Use the stamp set and ink from the Soft Sayings Card Kit with this refill kit to create even more cards!  Includes everything from the Soft Sayings Card Kit - minus the stamp set, ink, block and box - so you can create 20 cards."  $28.00

Or.....

Use the refill kit for your scrapbooking pages and incorporate all those wonderful elements to create awesome pages!  Alternately, you can make all the cards but just use your own ink and stamps.

Either way, it is an awesome kit!

Until next time...

Soft Sayings Card Kit - Designs 2 & 3 - Stampin' Up!

Here we are with two more of the Soft Sayings Card Kit designs.
This is the full size (4.25
X 5")  and a 3" X 3", including the fun little envelopes that co-ordinate.  I have left in the insides blank for now, but you could easily stamp one of the included sentiments on the inside too.

I love the pop of washi tape and baker's twine.  The colour pallet is so pretty.

You can find this kit on page 10 and 11 of the annual catalogue.

This catalogue image shows all the elements included in the kit; even the great gift box!

7 more card designs left to show...

Soft Sayings Card Kit- Stampin' Up!

Just a short post on this Thanksgiving Sunday.  This coming week I will be posting the cards from the Soft Sayings Card Kit found on page 10 and 11 of the annual catalogue.

I chose this Thanks card as the first to show off in this delightful and fun card kit.  I have made them all and they are easy, fun and super cute.  The kit makes 20 cards; 2 @ of 10 designs.  There are so many elements in this kit!  In fact, there are so many, that I misplaced a couple of them.  So I ended up die cutting a couple of leaves for the card that is lying flat using a retired thinlit.    The colours co-ordinate with Stampin' Up!'s colours so it was easy to choose the same green and replace my missing pieces.  Problem solved.

This is an all inclusive kit.  That means it comes with...

Soft Sayings stamp set and clear block
20 card bases, 2 each of 10 designs.
20 envelopes
Basic Gray Archival Stampin' Spot
Die-cut accents in gold glitter, Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide and white
Lemon Lime Twist Baker's Twine
Washi Tape
Stampin' Dimensionals

See you tomorrow for another sample from this great kit!

Be Merry Kit - Stampin' Up!

The Be Merry Kit (found on page 32 of the holiday catalogue) is definitely fun, easy and super cute!  The kit is $25.50.  Also needed are a hot glue gun, dimensionals and Fine Tip Glue Pen.  I did iron the ribbon to get the fold creases out of them.

The kit makes 12 ornaments; 6 each of the green and red.  It is a miserable, rainy day here today so taking photos was a challenge.  Otherewise, I would have taken photos of all 12 completed ornaments.

If you are looking for a great craft project, I certainly recommend this Be Merry Kit.  No stamping involved!!

From Stampin' Up! - 7 years

Received this sweet card from Stampin' Up! Canada in the mail at the end of August.  It is always special to receive a hand made card in the mail and so nice of Stampin' Up! Canada to remember their demonstrators!

I did take a flip through the catalogue to see if I could find the name of the stamp set and DSP used but didn't find it.  Products I did recognize are:

Vintage Crochet Trim (new holiday catalogue)
Stitched Shaped Framelits
Layered Leaves Embossing Folder
Gold Foil Sheets
Gold Metallic Thread

Thanks for Dale and the rest of the team for taking the time to remember demonstrators!

Watercolor Christmas Project Kit - Stampin' Up! - 4th card

Here is the 4th and final card in the Watercolor Christmas Project Kit found on page 34 of the holiday catalogue.  The coloured images are printed on the card base, ready for you to add accent pieces to complete your card.  Although it does not show in the picture, I added Wink of Stella to all of the vine leaves and used the Fine Tip Glue Pen to all of the berries.  It adds such a sweet finish to the card!

The kit includes enough envelope liners for all 20 cards.  These liners are quite thick.  With the image on the top left, I just used a bone folder to crease the liner.  It left it a little crinkled so with the one on the right I used the scoring board to make my crease.  It had a better finish.  I will use the liners for four of the cards, but think I will save the rest up for alternative ideas!  That is one of the fun parts about kits.  You don't have to do it all as outlined!

Here are all the pieces you use with the kit, complete with pictorial instructions.

There is something in the catalogue for everyone; beginner to experienced; stop by and visit my store at:

Watercolor Christmas Project Kit - Stampin' Up! - Card 3

Third of the designs for the Watercolor Christmas Project Kit on page 34 of the holiday catalogue.  Fine Tip Glue was used to glue on the sequins and holly pieces.  Wink of Stella was painted on the holly leaves and it has a lovely shimmer in real life.  The Fine Tip Glue was used on the holly berries and adds a little shine and dimensions.

I'm hoping you can at least see the shine on the berries from this angle.  Well worth the time waiting for the berries to dry.

If you are just starting out, card kits are certainly a wonderful way to give card making/stamping a try!

Tomorrow is the 4th and final card in this kit.

Watercolor Christmas Project Kit - Stampin' Up! - Card 2

This one of the four designs in the Watercolor Christmas Project Kit.  If you don't have a lot of supplies, kits are the way to go.  They are simple enough and not overwhelming.  Additional supplies were the Watercolor Christmas stamp set (shown below), dimensionals, fine tip glue pen, Basic Black in pad.  I also used Fast Fuse tape runner and Wink of Stella.

This card came with the white panel of coloured trees already on the paper.   I added some Wink of Stella to each tree and it gives and nice shimmer to the trees.  I tried to get photos but the lovely shimmer just didn't show up.

Here is the wood mount version of this stamp set.  It is also available in clear (meaning, you put the stamp on a clear block for stamping).

Next post will show the 3rd design in this project kit.

Watercolor Christmas Project Kit - Stampin' Up! - Card 1

I ordered two kits from the new holiday catalogue.  This one is called Watercolor Christmas Project Kit.  You can find it on page 34.  The photo above shows all the contents of the kit (after taking off of die cut sheets)  All set to get started!  Additonal supplies needed are the co-ordinating stamp set (Watercolor Christmas), demensionals, fine tip glue pen, adhesive (I used Fast Fuse), Basic Black Ink Pad.

Here is my first card.  You can tell it is so easy and quick to put together.  You get enough card bases and supplies to make 5 each of 4 designs.  Although I have made one of each of the supplied designs, I may experiment a little and change the others up!

My next post will feature card #2

Layered Leaves - Paper Pumpkin - Sept. '17

Hooray for September's Paper Pumpkin...it is gorgeous!

Here are the two projects that can be created with Layered Leaves Paper Pumpkin kit.  It can make 8 pillow boxes and 8 gift cards/envelopes.  Aren't they pretty?!!  I have only made one sample of each because I want to wait and see what others make as alternatives to the original design.  It really is fun to see all the creativity out there!

The card based is embossed with a swirly design which you can faintly see in the photo.  I stamped the envelope with the leaf stamp (stamp set included in the kit)

This sweet pillow box is large enough to fill with small treats, a gift card or gift.  The top of the box is also embossed with a swirly design.  Card stock is nice and sturdy.

So, I started by stamping all the leaves.  However, I was not as successful as those I have watched on YouTube!  The top left show my success...the bottom left shows how my stamping was off with too much border on the right side of the leaf and none on the left.  So to rectify this, I trimmed those down as you can see in those on the right.  In the end it was all good...none ruined and I was happy.  Those that were trimmed down got sponged to soften the look of th edge.

Before I started, I separated all the kit contents.  Here is everything that is in the kit.  Ink spot missing from photo.

Paper Pumpkin is a monthly kit offered through a subscription.  Contact me for more details
