To You & Yours - December 2018 Paper Pumpkin

This month's Paper Pumpkin, To You & Yours is loaded with fun elements!  I did not end up making the original design that came with the kit.  They were both absolutely lovely cards but I ended up changing them for an order I had received.  So I made 12 cards with the help of other Stampin' Up! products, and mailed them off, so there are no photos.

Today's card used the inside of one of the envelopes for the background on my card.  I love the co-ordinated look of the card and envelope.

I also made 9 tags!

Paper Pumpkin can be ordered through my on-line store.  Contact me if you have any questions.

Plenty of fun product was used in this simple yet glamorous card.

We'll start off with the card base and envelopes.  They are the Foil-Edged Cards & Envelopes found on page 11 of the 2018 holiday catalogue.  You get 20 card bases and 20 envelopes for just $13.00.  Order your choice of Gold or Silver.  This product is on the carrot over list; so you you can still get it in the new year!

Then we have this beautiful Designer Series Paper from page 6.  I love them all!

I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Layering Ovals Framelits to showcase the Season's Greetings from the  Snowflake Sentiments (Annual Catalogue) which was embossed with our Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder.

It's hard to tell from the picture, but I added two vellum sprigs using the Sprig Punch.  The sprig punch can be found on page 29.  It too is going to carry over after the end of this Holiday Catalogue!

Happy Christmas stamping!

Card Exchange Club - November 2018

On a (mostly) monthly basis a friend holds a card exchange club at her home.  We each make multiples of any card design we come up with and exchange them.  So many fun, beautiful, unique cards!

This month we had one all occasion card and six Christmas cards!  Take a look.  They are all just wonderful!

Fun card using Seasonal Chums stamp set and coloured beautifully with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

Pretty shine with the now retired Springtime Foil Specialty Paper.

Christmas Pines - perfectly suited for a gorgeous Christmas card.

There is some lovely shimmer on the image from Sheltering Tree.  So pretty in blue!

So much cuteness with this card made from the now retired owl punch.  Love those little penguins!

This tree is perfect for using scraps from our Designer Series Paper.  Great idea and a great card!

My swap card using Snowflake Sentiments and the Foil Edged card bases and envelopes.

Note:  Some designs may be cased.  If so, there is no intent to call the design their own.   Merely to craft and share amongst friends.  This is not an exclusive Stampin' Up! card swap so you may see non-Stampin' Up! product in this type of swap post.

Dashing Deer - Stampin' Up!

Dashing Deer - one of my favourites of the 2018 catalogue.  This would definitely qualify for #simplestamping.  #simplestamping is a hashtag introduced by Stampin' Up! to showcase easy, quick, yet lovely cards that do not require tons of supplies or equipment.

This awesome plaid paper is from Festive Farmhouse.  A strip of silver foil paper is added as an accent, along with rhinestones for some bling.

There are dies that co-ordinate with the Dashing Deer stamp set.  It really is worth it to get this bundle.  At the moment the dies have a low inventory status but will be carrying over after this catalogue ends.  That is great news!

Here is the visual of all the great patterns in this Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper set.  Delicious!

Wishing you pure enjoyment as you prepare for this holiday season!

Stamparatus - Stampin' Up!

I have many favourite Stampin' Up! tools; however, the Stamparatus is my new favourite!  It is a stamp positioning tool that helps you create beautifully stamped images.  Your frustration with uneven inking or crooked placement is no longer an issue.

The basic tool comes with the platform, two hinged plates, two magnets and a black foam mat.  Remove the black foam mat when using rubber/foam backed stamps.  Use the black foam mat for photopolymer stamps.

Here are a few tips for using your Stamparatus.

1.  Keep the magnets away from each other.  They store nicely on the bottom of the platform.  You really only need to use one at a time for the majority of your projects.  They are brittle by nature and break easily.  Replacement magnets are available to purchase.

2.  Add duct tape to each of the magnets as shown in the picture.  This makes them easy to pick up.  They are very strong.

3.  When positioning paper and stamps close to the edge it is beneficial to use our silicone craft mat (sold separately, it is shown in the above photo).  The hinges make it harder to get a good stamped image when placed close to the edge.  Using the silicone mat alleviates this problem nicely.

There are many reasons you would want this awesome tool...

1.  With the 2 plates that gives you 4 surfaces to place your stamps. This is great for 2, 3 or 4 step stamping.

2.  The ruler and grid lines make it easy to place your stamps right where you want them.

3.  If you need your image to appear darker (or if you didn't ink properly) just reapply ink and stamp again.

4.  Less paper waste!  (my favourite reason)

5.  There are multiple new stamping techniques you can try!  More to come on those as I try them myself.

Below is a video from the Stampin' Up! office reiterating some of the basics of this tool, along with a couple of techniques you can try with your creations.

I do hope you enjoy your new Stamparatus as much as I do.  If you have any questions, I am more than happy to help you get the best results when stamping.

Here are he catalogue samples showing the element pieces.

Paper Pumpkin - Wonderful Winterland - Nov. 2016 - Stampin' Up!

Well, to say I am way behind on my Paper Pumpkin Kits is an understatement.  This one is from November of 2016.  The feel of winter has already hit our area.  It also feels like we skipped fall.  Is it naive to be hopeful there will still be a few nice days to come before winter weather is officially here to stay?!!!

The first card is the only alternative I made.  And it was pretty basic.  I embossed the Pool Party card stock with the new Subtle embossing fold.  It is only slightly noticeable in the photo.

This kit made note card sized cards so I cut one in half to form the panel.

This is basically what the kit called for.  I left out a vellum piece on all but one of the cards.  Dapper Denim (now retired) envelopes co-ordinates with the Dapper Denim Ink Spot that was used for the greeting.

Here are the 7 note sized cards all compete.  The one on the bottom right has the vellum over the card base as instructed.  I liked the crisp look so I left them out.

Another kit complete and another selection of cute cards for my stash!

Head on over to my store at

If you would like to see what the past kits have looked like, head on over to

Petal Promenade - Petal Palette - Stampin' Up!

Fall is definitely here, but I am going to hang on to summer a little bit longer with this pretty card using the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper as its focal point.

I adorned it with the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Paper to add some detail, along with the Leaves Trinkets for a little bling.  I love the sentiment from Petal Palette which was stamped in Melon Mambo.  White Baker's Twine is doubled up to make a little bow to add to the trinket.

I like easy and this card went together quickly.

Here are pics of the product used for today's card...
